Moving On: "She is dead to me."
By Scott Cunning
"She has no name," says Brett
i should have told her sooner that i never loved her the way she wanted me to for i tried so many times. But now she has no name. I cannot believe that someone can be such a two faced slut, and i have never actually said that to her face. Nor had i seen her cry when i told her it was over. I am stronger then this. She will deface me to her new world and to her family as i will her, but we will now never be in contact again for the rest of our lives. For she is dead to me.
Not, you know, that he has strong feelings on the matter.
This kind of rant comes off as bitter to some. And maybe it is (and maybe it's justified if it is).
In any event, though, I think he's got the right mindset: Drop all contact. Move the heck on with your life. Staying friends is, in my mind, usually a dodgy concept, but if you've been wronged, it's a dangerous place to be. If the break up is balanced and amicable (i.e., you both wanted out, you're not mad at each other) and have pretty much equivalent residual feelings for each other), then it's okay to stay in each other's spheres.
That's pretty clearly not the case here, so I say he's right. Move on, Brett. She's not worth it.
This breakup bash is brought to you by breaking up (naturally) and, uh, we'll say...sluts.
