Iditarod Trail Invitational 2009

Another successful race just finished up on the Iditarod Trail, Alaska. Out of 45 racers 28 finished the 350 mile race to McGrath and out of 18 signed up in the 1100 mile race 6 finished in Nome on the Bering Coast. Kathi Hirzinger-Merchant became the first female cyclist to finish the 1100 mile race in 25 days 12 hours and 58 minutes. Media Release The fourth day of the Oman Adventure 2007 gave contestants a completely new problem to deal with: that of distance. “This is a real double marathon day” explained Gérard Fusil. “No-one has ever had to run a distance like this here before”. Media Release Today’s stage of the Oman Adventure 2007 brought the first real demarcation between the teams. Media Release This morning the 3rd Oman Adventure was started by Gérard FUSIL, in the presence of Sheik Ali Mohamed al SHIDI, personal representative of Oman’s Minister of Sports Affairs and Mr. Salem el MASROURI, member of the Sultanate of Oman’s Sports Events Organising Committee.
