Career?

I’m 20 years old and I don’t know what I want to do with my life. Right now, I’m a nanny and I LOVE it. I love feeling like I’m making a difference in a person’s life but I’m living paycheck to paycheck with no extra money at all. I’m getting married in three months and my fiance has a really good paying job but, I don’t want to be a bum wife that depends on her man to take care of her, you know?

I change my mind on a daily basis… One day I want to be a [starving] photographer and then the next I think being a nurse would be kind of cool. The next day, I’m thinking about being a social worker.

Are there any websites that can help a person decide what type of career would be good for them based on their interests?

What career field can allow me to travel for awhile or stay in one place?

I’m looking for a certain career field in which you have the option to opt to travel. International Teaching was the career I found that give you this option of either teaching from the states, or going anywhere in the world as you please. I was wondering if their were similiar careers that give you this option?
Thank you.

I have noticed that many people are saying that a career not in one of the Big 4 accounting firms pays more and requires less hours of work. Can any one explain these career options?

I have recently discovered a investigation bureau in Edmond, Oklahoma and it seems fascinating to me to work at. I have always wanted to be an investigator or even a nurse and the only medium that i have found is a forensic scientist or something like it. I have decided i also want to go to the university of Oklahoma and maybe major in chemistry, but theirs one problem, I don’t know what kind of career that is right for me.

I need some good career options, but I want something I can also do when I get older and probably won’t be phased out it this changing economy. I also don’t have a lot of time to spend in school and I need something that I can do right away that I can pay all my bills and provide for my family. So do you know of any career options?

I have been a loan officer, sales manager and Wholesale rep at various times over 31 yrs. I never wrote subprime loans. With the mortgage crash, I am looking for another career. I am not really interested in insurance, financial planning or being a stockbroker. I do have a college degree.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

What career can I pursue with a major in Economics?

I am an incoming freshman planning to major in Economics at UC Davis. I would like to work at a bank, become an accountant, or do something related to finance for my career. I don’t know much about these careers, but I really want a job that pays well.
My opinion so far on some specific jobs:
Accounting- seems boring, but a stable job. Are there different types of accounting? What classes should I take? What’s the average salary?
Management- requires an outgoing and friendly person with a good attitude and outstanding leadership skills, able to handle situations on the spot. Not everyone can do it, but if you have these skills, you’ll excel in this area.
Investment banking- extremely competitive to get into, extremely competitive job in general, work 60+ hours per week, but extremely good pay. I especially want information for this. What classes should I take? What would help me get a job in this area?

I know that plenty of schools have a career department with counselors that specialize in helping students with their careers but I am looking for a counselor who is not affiliated with a school who has knowledge of Information Technology..

I need help with picking the right school and certifications and don’t want to talk to anyone affiliated with an organization or institution. Is it possible to get help outside of a school for an IT career?

I am a a girl and recently I did some aptitude tests and my results came back that both my physical reflexes and spacial awareness were extraordinary. They also revealed that my hand to eye coordination and visual memory is excellent.
If I apply these results to choosing a career I would do well in what sort of careers do you thing would suit these aptitudes?

Thanks!
