Jason S

I was a non-traditional student who is now a few years into my third career – in accounting/finance. My second career was in banking, and I am currently pursuing an MBA in finance. The question could be restated: What is the best career path for an accountant with a solid finance background to have a reasonable chance at assuming the title of Treasurer at a large (+$1 billion sales) company?

I figure if I can swing Treasurer, then I will get to the short list for CFO – who is always on the short list for CEO, the goal for all aspiring business professionals.

Thanks.
