I have two adult male cats one of which weighs about 15lbs and the other weighs about 9lbs. I would like my “Fat Cat” to lose about 5lbs however both of my cats are fed from the same food dish at the same time of day. Does anyone know how I can put one cat on a diet without putting my other cat on a diet as well?

My cat, 6 yrs old, could possibly have kidney failure (it might be a bladder infection but I won’t find out for another 2 weeks after antibiotics); he’s still energetic and doesn’t show any signs of illness. Ironically I have kidney disease as well and am using natural remedies like dandelion root tea and other herbs. Wheatgrass has also improved my health a lot. I am wondering these herbs would apply to cats as well?

Does anyone have any suggestions for diet (should it be homemade)? I’ve been doing research and they all say low salt, but some sites say good high quality protein while others say low protein. And should I stop using the chemical Frontline (flea medicine) on my cat?

Also, where on my cat are his kidneys located?

I think he isnt fond of cats because mine is so vocal and annoying. But my cat is really friendly, never hissed, always sweet, loves cats and dogs.
Okay, another thing. My boyfriend is not some crazy psychopath, he just isnt a huge animal lover. He is a funny, great, loving guy towards me.. I just need to convince him, Ive been with him for nearly 2 yrs, if he was abusive, I would have broken up with him :-P

Months ago, he picked her up and spun her around and I think she’s never forgiven him. She won’t come into any room that he’s in, but when it’s just me she wants to cuddle and be petted. If I bring her into a room and he’s there, she completely wigs out and tries to get away.
