How long can you have a friends with benefits relationship without developing feelings?

My friend blames me for developing feelings for him after 3 1/2 years of intimacy. We are intimate every other day. If I don’t see him every day then we talk on the phone every day. My feelings has drastically changed our relationship. Jealousy and all of the emotions that comes with it has reared it’s ugly head. I can’t stand to see him with other women so now I must end our relationship. I’m only human. How can he blame me for developing feelings? Any feedback, opinions, or stories would be helpful?
